The Mad River Riders have built and maintain a growing 60+ mile trail network for all abilities that connects Mad River Valley community centers and provides access to unparalleled Vermont alpine woodland beauty. Our fun sustainable trails are open to the public and free to use for biking, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. The network helps provide health, educational and economic benefits to the residents and visitors of the Mad River Valley.

In 2023 The Riders, 

• Finished the Goodnight Irene trail and reworked the top of Busternut to create an awesome, flowy downhill from Dana Hill Road down to Route 100
• Sponsored a paid trail crew to rework numerous areas and stay on top of the potential trail damage from the copious rain
• Revamped the lower part of Revolution, a highly trafficked backbone of our network, adding and repairing turns and features and smoothing out a few rough spots
  
• Added the blowout Grateful Gravel to our classic event lineup alongside the Cranko de Mayo and Unduro/eDuro

Despite the rain, 2023 we another fun year for The Mad River Rippers program, which provides free mountain bike programing weekly to children 3 and older June through September. .

Our Federal Tax ID number (EIN) is 03-0356194. All donations are tax deductible and very much appreciated to fund the next phase of investment for the benefit of the community. On average, a $5 donation helps build a linear foot of trail.  ​
